BAV strives to provide accessible services and web-based tools for our campus community. We partner with Disability Access & Compliance to ensure all our programs/services/events comply with University policies.
Here are the three required steps to publish your event:
How Our Captioning Services Works
Captions provide an inclusive experience for participants. For our customers, the process is seamless. After the video has been recorded and edited, we work with a specialized third party supplier to create the captions and add them to the video.
Live captioning is required for live-streamed events. BAV will arrange to have live captioning included when we live stream your event. Fees for this service will be calculated based on your specific event requirements.
Captioning for non-BAV Produced Videos
If you would like to request captioning for an event not hosted by BAV, UC Berkeley has a master contract with 3Play Media. Instructions for requesting captioning services can be found by clicking here. General information about captions and transcripts are available by clicking here.
