Hearst Gym, Eshleman Conference Room, Eshleman Practice and Performance Spring Reservations

Below are important instructions from the ASUC Student Union for reserving Hearst Gym Practice and Performance Spaces, Eshleman Hall Practice and Performance Spaces, and Eshleman Hall Conference Room spaces for Spring 2020.

For each of these spaces, the person reserving the space must be a Signatory for their group. Find instructions for becoming a Signatory at the LEAD Center Manage Your Org page. Please remember that 2018-19 Signatory positions did not carry forward to the 2019-20 Academic Year.

Spring 2020 Hearst Gym Practice And Performance Spaces:

Beginning on January 7, 2020 at 10AM, the ASUC Student Union will begin processing Hearst Gym reservation requests. All Hearst Gym reservation requests must be submitted through this form. Any form with incorrect or incomplete information will have a delay in processing. Reservation requests can ONLY be submitted by Signatories of Registered Student Organizations. All requests must be made AT LEAST one business day in advance. Reservation requests in-person, via email, and via phone will not be accepted. All reservations will begin on Tuesday, January 21, the first day of instruction. Reservations may be submitted for any point of the semester, but those between 5PM-9PM Monday-Friday will not be accepted for the first three weeks of school until the PE class schedule is finalized. The hours that Hearst Gym is available for RSO use are as follows:

  • First 3 Weeks of the Semester (1/21/20-2/10/20): M-F from 9PM-12AM

  • After First 3 Weeks of the Semester: Monday-Friday from 5PM-12AM

  • Saturday/Sunday: 9AM-9PM

  • Spring Break: CLOSED

  • RRR Week: Open through Thursday (5/7/20)

  • Finals Week: CLOSED

  • Summer: CLOSED

The available spaces and a description of what can be done in each space is below:

  1. Room 220– Basketball Court, capacity 75

    1. Allowed activities

      1. Dance practice, basketball, dodgeball, martial arts, capoeira, aerobics/fitness, drill team (no objects hitting the floor), yoga/pilates, musical activities (drumming, choral rehearsal, band practice)

    2. Prohibited activities

      1. No soccer, no tap dance

  2. Room 237– Basketball Court, capacity 75

    1. Allowed activities

      1. Dance practice, basketball, dodgeball, martial arts, capoeira, aerobics/fitness, drill team (no objects hitting the floor), yoga/pilates, musical activities (drumming, choral rehearsal, band practice)

    2. Prohibited activities

      1. No soccer, no tap dance

  3. Room 234– Dance/Exercise Studio, capacity 60

    1. Allowed activities

      1. Tap dance is allowed

    2. Prohibited activities

      1. No objects hitting the floor (including balls)

  4. Room 251– Dance/Exercise Studio, capacity 50

    1. Allowed activities

      1. Dance practice, martial arts, capoeira, aerobics/fitness, fencing, yoga/pilates

    2. Prohibited activities

      1. No objects hitting the floor (including balls), no tap dance

  5. Room 228– Dance/Exercise Studio, capacity 50

    1. Allowed activities

      1. Dance practice, martial arts, capoeira, aerobics/fitness, fencing, yoga/pilates

    2. Prohibited activities

      1. Activities involving balls and other activities not listed above are deemed to be incompatible with the use of this room. Tap dancing is not allowed.

Spring 2020 Eshleman Hall Practice & Performance and Conference Room Spaces:

All requests must be made at least 1 business day in advance. No Exceptions. No in-person requests will be accepted. Any form with incorrect or incomplete information will have a delay when processing.

Eshleman reservations can be made during building hours (8 AM – 11 PM Mon – Sun for the Spring 2020 semester). If you make a reservation outside of building hours, you will need to have after hours key card access to the building. You can apply for after hours key card access through the After Hours Access form process.

Instructions for Reserving Eshleman Hall Conference Room Spaces

  1. Make sure you are a signatory listed on CalLink. 

  2. Designate 1 signatory to book reservations on behalf of your group

  3. Group designee should login to One Stop Shop here to make a reservation.

  4. Group designee should fill out google form here.

  5. Lastly, if you wish to rescind your access, fill out this form.

 

Instructions for Reserving Eshleman Hall Practice and Performance Spaces

  1. Make sure you are a signatory listed on CalLink

  2. Designate 1 signatory to book reservations on behalf of your group

  3. Group designee should login to EMS to make a reservation.

  4. Group designee should fill out google form here.

  5. Lastly, if you wish to rescind your access, fill out this form.
