Event Services at the Student Union will assist in all aspects of your event, from preferred vendors, linens and equipment rentals to recommendations for local activities, lodging, and dining options. With its accommodating staff and very attractive pricing, the Student Union is catching on as a prime venue for any important occasion.
Many themed events are held in our venue spaces, including luaus, dance marathons, fashion shows, and weddings. Our event planners can assist you in developing your event theme and décor and also coordinate catering for your event. A $77 per hour administrative coordination fee applies. Groups may use any caterer for their event. Please refer to the policies section for the campus requirements for caterers and campus food & alcohol permit requirements.

Our event planners will also assist you in planning your décor for your event. You may hang flowers or balloons on the banisters of the grand staircase to the ballroom. Please note that due to fire code, open flame candles, and incense are not allowed. In addition, loose flower petals, confetti, glitter and chocolate fountains are not allowed due to the historical nature of the building.

For our other spaces, Event Services can coordinate catering for your event for a $77 catering fee. Requests will be considered at least 7 days advance notice for events with 30 or less people, and a minimum of 14 days in advance for all other meetings and events.
Groups may use any caterer for their event. Food may be prepared off-site in a licensed kitchen and transported to the event space for serving. The event space must be completely clean at the end of the reservation, or the group is subject to a cleaning fee assessed by Event Services at a minimum of $150.
