Welcome to Event Services!

Event Services at the Student Union provides comprehensive event planning and consultation as well as versatile venue spaces. We will partner with you to arrange the appropriate venue space and plan a successful event within your budget. We can assist you with all of the event planning details, including catering, linens, décor, and audio-visual.

Our venue spaces are ideal locations for academic, community and company events, and conferences. We hold many types of events, from seminars to public conferences to weddings. The MLK, Jr. Student Union is located in the heart of Berkeley on UC Berkeley's famous Sproul Plaza. Pauley Ballroom is a 9,000-square-foot open space with hardwood floors, 30-foot ceilings, and a view of the Campanile.

Wheeler Late Night Program: Can't find a seat at the library? Want to hold a study jam for your student group or friends? Well look no further! Wheeler Late Night Program allows you to reserve Wheeler Classrooms Monday-Thursday from 10pm-2am! Signatories of Registered Student Organizations can submit requests here! You can have a whole room to yourself, what more could you ask for? 

Mobile Parking Payment Option: UC Berkeley is now offering a new mobile parking payment option, PayByPhone, which will include more convenient payment options for hourly public parking on campus! With awesome new features such as text message reminders prior to the expiration of parking sessions, remote time extensions, online receipts, and options to pin parking locations to your mobile app's map, PayByPhone will be available for all UC Berkeley campus public parking lots, garages, and street parking on campus Monday-Friday from 5pm-2am and on weekends! Sign-up and download now!

Third Party Vendor Sales on Campus: All vendor sales on campus must be approved by the Chancellor or Chancellor's Designee as stated in the Berkeley Campus Regulations.  Please submit the following request form at least 2 weeks in advance of your event and Event Services will seek approval from the Chancellor's Designee.
